Soundview Medical Supply is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our HR functions, including recruiting, strategic planning, and affirmative action planning. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The Human Resources Specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure that our HR strategies align with organizational goals.

This is a remote position, with required working hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote corporate values and shape a positive culture.
  • Handle all employee relations conversations, maintaining clear documentation and mitigating company risk.
  • Have knowledge of multistate employment laws and conduct regular reviews of law changes to ensure company compliance.
  • Post and monitor open positions within the company to internal and external job sites.
  • Conduct screening interviews and manage interview process with hiring managers.
  • Draft and send pre-employment offer letters and conduct employee background checks.
  • Facilitate the new employee onboarding meetings ensuring all required onboarding documentation is complete.
  • Manage the offboarding (terminations) of employees ensuring legal compliance.
  • Coordinate open enrollment periods, assist new employees with benefit enrollment, and help to solve any employee issues pertaining to benefits.
  • Assist finance manager with the processing of payroll on a semi-monthly basis ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage the company 401K plan.
  • Maintain the company handbook and policies.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of talent.
  • Assist company management to develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Oversee the issuance, tracking, and maintenance of employee equipment (computers, laptops, phones, software, etc.).
  • Conduct monthly employee OIG reports.
  • Work with employees to plan and execute company events.
  • All other duties as necessary.
Experience:
  • 3-4 years as an HR professional required.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
  • Experience with multi state employment laws.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
  • Experience using HRIS systems (Paychex is a plus).
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
